Well-earned criticism

Stephen Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner -- priceless. A refreshing change of pace from the complaicency of so much of the US media. I'm not sure who booked him for the gig, but it was a bold and brilliant move.

Check out the video of his opening speach and his press secretary audition tape.

I was blown away by that shit myself. Bush is such a turd. He was visibly disconcerted. I think they usually ask someone like Jay Leno to fill that gig, and they get a bunch of wussy safe jokes about Republicans being like elephants or some shit. But this was priceless.

Boof!

How's it going lady? Colbert's speech was entertaining indeed. Bush looked like a deer in the headlights. As I am trotting (yes, trotting) off to Uganda in 8 (AGHH) days or so, please check out my blog at: http://katelewis.wordpress.com/

My favorite parts:
"As everyone knows, reality has a liberal bias"
and
"Washington: the chocolate city with the marshmellow centre".

Brilliant.
